Parkerized heavy-walled barrels, metal trigger guards, and safety buttons are standard on all 590A1 models, which are designed to withstand the worst working conditions. For dependable, streamlined operation, they are equipped with dual extractors, twin action bars, positive steel-to-steel lock-up, and an anti-jam elevator. The 590A1 is available in 12 gauge and can chamber 2.75″ and 3″ manufactured shotshells. All receivers have been drilled and tapped in preparation for installation of a Picatinny rail, sight, or optics.
