Glock 19 for sale. Due to its smaller size, the GLOCK 19 Gen 5 pistol in 9 mm Luger is perfect for a more varied role. By mounting various back straps, the new frame design, which does not have finger grooves, still enables for rapid grip customization to fit any hand size. It works well for both left- and right-handed shooters thanks to the ambidextrous slide stop lever and reversible magazine catch. For improved precision, the barrel’s rifling and crown were slightly altered.

The Glock 19 is a semi-automatic pistol created and produced by the Glock company since 1988 for use by armed forces and law enforcement agencies. It is a smaller variant of the Glock 17’s counterpart. Due to its durability, dependability, and simplicity of operation, it is regarded as one of the best semi-automatic handguns available today.

FEATURES

Of all the generations, these new Gen5s are by far my favorite. In comparison to Gen4s, they have a ton of feature enhancements, including the grip, the slide, the trigger/controls, and more.

GRIPS

You’ll hear a lot of folks, including myself, criticize the ergonomics of a Glock. The grip angle of a Glock is approximately 22 degrees, while that of many other well-known polymer pistols is 18 degrees. Although it might not seem like a significant change, you can definitely feel it when pointing and firing.

However, Glock did go ahead and get rid of the finger grooves that were on the Gen4 grips, which I believe was an excellent decision. It, in my opinion, makes the ergonomics “less bad.” Additionally, the gun comes with two removable backstraps so you may vary the grip to suit your preferences.

SLIDE

The inclusion of the front slide serrations with the Gen5 is, in my opinion, a significant improvement. The front slide serrations are excellent for someone who frequently press checks. They are adequate for the purpose I use them for, though I wish they were a little deeper and more forceful.

Although the factory optics are not trimmed on this specific G19, there is a version with them that I would suggest. It is preferable to have the cut but not require it than the reverse.

SIGHTS

Since I’ve been shooting with the stock Glock for so long, I’m proficient with them, but they definitely have a lot of room for improvement. They have standard fixed square-notch rear sights with white dots up front. The good news is that you can pick from at least 100 different aftermarket sight choices.

EVOLUTION

Since 1998, every G19 model sold has featured a frame with a molded auxiliary rail and anatomical grip. Since 1996, a barrel model with a compensator has been available; it is called the G19C. The fourth version G19 (G19 Gen 4) debuted in 2010 and included a three-size interchangeable stock back. There is also the G19 Gen 3 in its RTF2 handle (Rough Textured Frames second generation) form, which is preferred among sport shooters since it provides a stronger grip than ordinary models.

The fifth-generation G 19 was developed by Glock in 2017 and equipped with a new GMB (Glock Marksman Barrel) match barrel with enhanced polygonal rifling. The Glock 19X debuted in the same year, receiving an original 17-shot magazine thanks to the addition of the Glock 17’s (then strap-equipped) butt. The loaded weight of the G19X is 890 g.

Since its introduction into the NYPD, the G19 has appeared in a variety of television series, including Castle (where it serves as Lieutenant Kate Beckett’s service weapon) and Blue Bloods (where it arms Detective Jackie Curatola, played by Jennifer Esposito), as well as in detective movies like Law and Order (where it serves as the service weapon of Detectives Turk and Rooster, played by Robert De Niro and Al Pacino).
