CANIK Rival. Finding a name for the CANiK® competition pistol was difficult because it had to convey the intention behind why we built the weapon in the first place. The objective was straightforward—this platform has to be on par with or superior to everything else used in the world of competitive sports shooting, giving the user a strong advantage to win! In this context, it was soon clear that the weapon in question was unmistakably the “RIVAL”.

A better model that can compete with all other pistols has now

hit the stage, and no other name could have expressed the design as effectively. Featuring features including an upgraded beaver tail, aggressive front slide serrations, a deeper trigger guard angle, a new holster fit-and-lock (HFL) function, and the new self-flared magwell frame design that are particularly made to outperform the rivals. The redesigned frame design, which includes an adjustable rear sight and a set of fiber optic front sights, greatly improves the pistol’s maneuverability and target acquisition.

The SFx RIVAL® features a modular frame that makes it simple to disassemble the gun. With this design, the user can break down their pistol right out of the box into its tiniest components before reassembling it with simply the CANiK punch tool. The diamond-cut, 90° angle, lightened aluminum trigger for the SFx RIVAL® was developed by CANiK® using the most cutting-edge trigger design technology in the world.

This trigger, together with the shorter preset and reset distance, boosts speed and accuracy. In addition to all of these technical advancements, RIVAL’s design also considered aesthetic considerations: Canik Rival Grey, a one-of-a-kind coating color developed by Cerakote® particularly for CANiK®, is applied to the frame and slide. H122 gold is applied to the trigger, magazine release catch, magazine base plate, magazine well, and slide stop lever.

With these characteristics and its 127 mm barrel, the SFx RIVAL® can compete in IDPA, IPSC, and USPSA events without any restrictions.
