Police Czech Republic, the organization for whom the model was initially created, is represented by the acronym PCR. It is almost exactly the same size as the CZ 75 Compact, but because of its forged aluminum frame, it weighs a full 1/4 lb less, making it more comfortable for daily carry. The PCR is extremely similar to the P-01 and employs the same alloy frame without the light rail to make it even more covert. The PCR has a decocking mechanism and is made to be decocked prior to holstering.

 The trigger draw resembles that of a double action revolver after decocking. The relatively longer and heavier trigger pull for the first round necessitates the deliberate choice to pull the trigger before firing, even though there is no need to flip a safety lever off. Rubber grip panels, front and back straps with serrations for better control, and a filled chamber indicator are additional improvements to the PCR.
